“reeling dawn” is another of my favorite images in my land, sea, and skyscape collection. I captured this image from one of my sunrise meditation spots — Johnny Mercer’s Pier in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. As a felt the warm orange sun break though the clouds on the eastern horizon at 200mm on a telephoto lens, I noticed the lonely fisherman, as I imagined it, trying to catch some mackerel in the morning light.
